Kenneth Corbett

1942 - 2025

Kenneth Wayne Corbett passed peacefully with his family by his side on February 13th, 2025 at the age of 82 years old. Ken was the second child of James and Alice (nee Patterson) Corbett, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Predeceased by his sister Joy (Dougal) Clark. Survived by his siblings Garry (Linda) Corbett, Lynne (Ron) Moffit, and Lois (Archie) Nichol. 

He will be missed by his children; Kristy (Rob), Kerry (Todd), David (Alex), Jeff (Tanya) and Brooke (Tyler). As well, by his honorary family; Michelle (Mimi), Sean (Malorie), Katryna (Haris) and Kassandra. He will live on in the hearts of his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Ken will be remembered by his love for sports, particularly hockey. He played a key role in the development of the Kanata Minor Hockey Association, dedicating many years to volunteering. To recognize his many contributions to amateur hockey, Ken was awarded the Hockey Canada Order of Merit in 2000. He also served as the Chair of the Board for Hockey Canada from 2007-2011. Devoting much of his life to bettering the game of hockey in his community and beyond. 

A celebration of life with be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local hockey association or to a youth sports program of your choice.
