Kevin Clouthier
Kevin Clouthier, 70, of Carleton Place, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Kevin was born June 18th, 1955 in Quebec City. A devoted husband and father, his greatest pride was his family and pets. Kevin, or “K” as he was called by many who love him, was known for his high moral standards, his quick wit and the generosity he displayed throughout his life. He loved music, sports, and relaxing outside on a warm evening. Referred to as the “Wing King”, he was passionate about barbecue and brewing craft beer, which he loved to both share and discuss with those close to him. He was an excellent listener, and offered thoughtful and compassionate advice to those he loved.
Kevin devoted 45 years of his life to working in children's mental health. His advocacy in the community positively impacted the lives of many. A true lifelong learner, he pursued numerous degrees in order to help him achieve the goals he set both for himself and for the organizations of which he was a part. At various points in his life, Kevin worked with different children’s mental health organizations, ran a private practice, opened his own business, and spearheaded numerous initiatives. He believed in focusing on the big picture and establishing goals and working to see them through. His curiosity, innovation and dedication earned him respect from those in his field and bore lasting effects on the lives of the youth who benefited from his life’s work.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lynda, daughter Michelle and partner Marc, daughter Nicole and partner Elliott, and Wally and Lola, his beloved Bernadoodle and cat. His brother Brian and spouse Margaret, brother Rick and spouse Lynn, and sister Kelly and partner Grant will all greatly miss his presence in their lives.
A celebration of life for family and friends will take place early in the new year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Open Doors For Lanark Children and Youth.
Kevin will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
