Kevin Stoddart Obituary

Kevin Paul Stoddart "Big Guy" (born March 8, 1962, in Carleton Place, Ontario) passed away in his home on August 22, 2024.  Kevin was the beloved son of the late Albert and Betty Stoddart, and stepson to the late Joe Kelly. He is survived by his loving sisters, Tammy Edmison (Ian), Laurie Morley (Doug), and Joanne Cameron (Jim), who will forever cherish his memory. He was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews T.J., Abby, Sandy, Mikael, Drake, Tanis, and Devon, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.

Kevin was known as a gentle giant who had a heart of gold. He was always looking out for his neighbors and lending a helping hand. He had a deep passion for hunting and fishing, pursuits that allowed him to connect with the people he loved. He was also a lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadiens, and his unwavering loyalty to the Habs was well known among his friends and family. Kevin found great joy in his time at Rockhaven Trailer Park. His generosity and kindness left an indelible mark on the community, where he was surrounded by a close-knit group of friends, who will miss him dearly. His memory will be treasured by those he leaves behind, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

In loving memory of Kevin, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Higham and Dr. Champagne for their exceptional care and unwavering support during his illness. Your dedication made a profound difference in his journey. We would also like to express our appreciation to all the dedicated and compassionate nurses at Bayshore HealthCare. A special thank you to Alex and Chelsea, whose kindness and professionalism brought comfort to both Kevin and our family during this difficult time. Your efforts will always be remembered.

A celebration of life will be held to honor Kevin on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Army, Navy, Air Force Club in Carleton Place, ON, where he enjoyed spending his free time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
