Laury Foubert
July 4, 1951 – April 24, 2022
Laury Ann Foubert (nee Bolger), born in Ottawa Ontario, July 4, 1951, it is with profound sadness that the family of Laury Foubert announce her peaceful passing on April 24th, 2022. Nana, mum, sister, aunt, daughter, cousin and friend are some of the titles Laury wore with pride. Laury is predeceased by her loving parents, Clarence and June Bolger, as well as her younger brother Michel Bolger. She will be so deeply missed by her children, their partners and adored grandchildren: Shannon Sayeau (David and Claire Sayeau), Ryan and Nicole Foubert (Jameson and Makenna Foubert), Brendan Foubert and Stacey Cooper (Kaia Foubert). Laury was a loving and supportive sister who will always be fondly remembered by her siblings: Joanne Richard (Jean RIchard), Julie Rouleau (Paul Rouleau), David Bolger (Colleen Bolger) and all of their children and grandchildren, with whom she shared special relationships. Over all her years, Laury remained extremely close to her extended family and cousins, and was in constant contact with them. Laury was a loyal and loving friend who maintained relationship that lasted the test of time.
Laury loved to be social and had a diverse group of friends from all stages of her life - from childhood right through to her last days. Laury always spoke of these friends as if they were family, and we know she will be deeply missed by all those who knew her well. Carleton Place was home for Laury for over four decades and she took great pride in her work for the Town of Carleton Place. She was a consistent and active member of the community, and valued her many volunteer opportunities. Laury loved to travel, spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren and all of her family, and being outside and by the water. We will miss family gatherings and holidays with Nana Laury.
Laury’s family wishes to thank the staff at the Waterside Retirement Residence in Carleton Place, the wonderful nurses and doctors at Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital, and the compassionate and thoughtful nurses and doctors at Queensway Carleton Hospital. We know Laury has found our beloved Nana and Poppa, many other family and friends, and is at peace. As one of her very dear friends wrote to us “Laury is now in my mind, sitting someplace warm with the sun shining on her while she knits a blanket for some new little one and is having a glass of wine.”
A visitation for family and friends will be held at The Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Wednesday April 27, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A celebration of life with family will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to a local charity of your choosing takes place.
