LEIGH HAMILTON

December 24, 1928 - January 8, 2025

Leigh Hamilton (formerly Shepherd, née Findlay), of Carleton Place, Ontario passed away on January 8th, 2025 in Almonte at the age of 96. She is survived by her 6 children as well as 12 grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren. She was helped and befriended in her last few years by Rebecca, Sally, and some of the other staff at Country Haven. Leigh Hamilton was one of the last Findlay's remaining of her generation of the Findlay stove clan. She was, in our eyes, endlessly curious, funny, complex, accomplished, and intent on learning why we’re here for this lifetime. We’ll miss her. Leigh asked that, instead of a service, her children gather by the Mississippi River to sing a couple of songs and eat Miss Vickie’s chips while celebrating her life.
