KINGDON, Lloyd Rodrique
August 11, 1950 – August 2, 2025
Lloyd passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Saturday morning, August 2, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Shirley (nee McBride). Father-in-law to Lori, grandpa to Emily, Jordan and Brandon, and great grandpa to Callum and Ivy. Predeceased by 3 brothers and survived by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Lloyd will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Lloyd enjoyed the simple things in life. A good conversation, a round of golf, and spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and will be fondly remembered for his ability to bring laughter to a room with his funny (and sometimes lengthy) stories.
Lloyd, now you’re in the Arms of your Angel. May you find comfort there. Keep singing with your idols George Jones, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley.
Thank you to family and friends who have provided support through this difficult time and to Christina, Yuki, Corrie, and Kathryn for their excellent home care. Special thanks to Fadi, Dave and Dan whose long-time friendships meant so much to Lloyd and to our close neighbourhood friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Alan R. Barker Funeral Home in Carleton Place, Ontario. Following Lloyd’s wishes, there will be no formal service.
In memory of Lloyd, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Humane Society.
