Lorraine Veronica Laing
March 10, 1963-November 23, 2023
Loving daughter to Janet Laing (predeceased), Hugh Laing and stepmother Linda. Big sister to Teena Laing, and Auntie to Kyus Thompson. Loved stepdaughter of William Dorman(predeceased).
Lorry was a pure heart, who loved to laugh and live in the moment. A huge Senators fan, she could often be overheard by her housemates yelling at her television when a goal was scored or when the referee made a bad call. A romantic to the core, Hallmark Movies were Lorry’s next choice in entertainment.
Lorry lived in Clayton, a Carebridge residence. Lorry cared deeply for her housemates and staff. Always in the know, quick to correct others, and up on the latest gossip to share. Lorry will be greatly missed by all. Thank you, to all who cared for Lorry over the years, our family is eternally grateful for the love and support. Thank you to Dr. Melanie Fortune during this difficult time.
Internment will take place on November 29th, 2023 at 11am, at the Dewar Cemetery, Ashton. Friends may join us in celebrating Lorry’s life over tea and coffee at the Stan Mills Center, 375 Country Street, Almonte, from 1-3 pm.
