It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Louise Marchand at the young age of 73. Louise passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the Almonte General Hospital on May 22, with her daughter by her side.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter Geneviève, son-in-law Nathan, granddaughters Marlowe and Sidélia, sisters Aline, Huguette and Nicole, and brother André. We are so grateful to her incredible friends for their love and tremendous support throughout this journey.

No formal funeral service will be held, and instead of flowers and donations, we encourage anyone wishing to pay tribute to Loulou (as she was affectionately known by her granddaughters) to plant a little something in their garden in her honour this spring. She would have liked to be remembered in that special way.

C'est avec le cœur lourd que nous annonçons le décès de Louise Marchand à l'âge de 73 ans. Louise est décédée après une courageuse bataille contre le cancer à l'Hôpital général d'Almonte le 22 mai, avec sa fille a sa côtés.

Elle laisse sa fille Geneviève, son garçon Nathan, ses petites-filles Marlowe et Sidélia, ses sœurs Aline, Huguette et Nicole et son frère André. Nous sommes très reconnaissants envers ses incroyables amis pour leur amour et leur formidable soutien tout au long de ce voyage.

Aucun service funéraire officiel n'aura lieu, et au lieu de fleurs et de dons, nous encourageons toute personne souhaitant rendre hommage à Loulou (comme l'appelaient affectueusement ses petites-filles) à planter un petit quelque chose dans leur jardin en son honneur ce printemps. Elle aurait aimé qu'on se souvienne de cette façon.
