Lydia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Carleton Place Hospital on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the age of 91. Dearly beloved wife of the late Jan. Loving mother of Bruno (Susie), Hans (Jennifer), Peter (Dawn Daniels), Ilse (Sterling Jones), Annastasia (John MacKinnon). She was the adored Oma of 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Lydia was born in Heilbronn-Neckargartach Germany in 1930 to the late Otto and Emilie Schutz. She was the eldest of four daughters and is survived by her youngest sibling Heidi Hertel.

Thank you to Dr. Spooner and all the loving care and attention provided by nurses and staff.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
