Marc Gauthier Obituary

Marc Guy Gauthier

1969 - 2024

On the afternoon of September 01, 2024, Marc Guy Gauthier passed away peacefully at The   Carleton Place Hospital. He was surrounded by his wife Rachel and his closest family members.

Just over 7 years ago he was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma.  Throughout this time battled this disease he showed incredible strength and resilience.  The final years of his life were active, and full of adventure. He was strong right up until the end.  His strength and great sense of humor helped in getting him and his family through the difficult times. He leaves behind his wife Rachel Judd, his 2 daughters Alexandra and Béatrice, his parents Jacques and Line Gauthier, his sister Julie Gauthier, and his brother Guy, not to mention nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and a large community of friends.  He will be remembered for his great love of the outdoors.  If he wasn’t hunting or fishing or boating or quadding, he was snowmobiling.

Throughout his treatment he spoke very highly of The Queensway Carleton Hospital and how well he was treated. His words “top notch treatment from all the nurses and doctors.”  A special thank you to Dr. Graham Cook for all that you did for our beloved Marc.

There will be no visitation or service at this time.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to The Carleton Place Hospital or the planting of a tree.
