Marlene McGuire, born on March 2nd, 1936, passed away very peacefully on January 18, 2025 at the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew, ON. Marlene lived her life to the fullest and wasn’t afraid to take on any task that needed to get done. The staff at the Manor knew and understood Marlene very well and they knew how to treat her with compassion and professionalism during her stay. A very sincere thank you to all the staff, and also to Dr. DiPaolo who knew Marlene for many years before she became his patient. Her daughter (Pat), son-in-law (Ken), and granddaughter (Jackie) will miss her mischievousness and kindness.
Marlene was predeceased by her 3 siblings (Garry, Bernie & Marie), dearest Mike, and her son Peter. Anyone that knew Marlene knew how much St. Patrick’s Day meant to her. So it is only fitting to have this Irish verse dedicated to her:
Let the fiddle play a hoedown after I've drawn my last breath
We’ll tell everyone I know, dear, that I loved them all to death
Let's leave the world a laughing, when our eulogies are read
May we all get to Heaven 'fore the devil knows we're dead
Rest in Peace Marlene – we loved you and we miss you.
