It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Robert Anderson who passed away
peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Anderson. Father to Kimberly Anderson (Jason) and Pam Kenny
(Kelvin). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Caroline, Katey, Ruby, Harrison and Halle.
Cherished sister Nancy Lamain (Jack) and their families. He is predeceased by his mother Viola
Anderson, father John O. Anderson and brother Lawrence Anderson.

Mike met his sole mate Kathy while they were both working at Loyola Campus of Concordia University.
While both worked full-time at the University, Mike pursued a Bachelor of Commerce in the evenings,
supported every step of the way by Kathy. Their journey in Montreal reflected a mutual respect of hard
work and unwavering support.

He had a deep love for nature and found true joy in the simple pleasures of life, including cherished time
spent at the cottage in Dunany, QC. His many self-taught talents were a reflection of his hard working
spirit and resourcefulness. At home, his backyard was a sanctuary for birds, and enjoyed taking care of
them. Mike found true happiness in nature and didn’t need grand adventures or material things to feel
fulfilled. His humble and grounded presence and appreciation for life’s small joys, were a gift to
everyone who knew him, reminding us that beauty and contentment can be found in the simplest of
days.

In keeping with Michael’s wishes, a private graveside service and gathering will be held Monday, June
16, 2025.
