Mildred Renaud
1937 - 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Mildred Mary Renaud (nee Young) on December 12, 2025 with her family by her side. Mildred leaves behind her 6 loving children, John Renaud, Diane Riley (Jim), Marc Renaud, Christine Brousseau (Don), Monica Scantland (Terry), and Patricia Price (Mark). She was a devoted grandmother to Adam, and Sean Riley, Cameron Scantland (Becky), Amanda Scantland (Marc), Joshua, and Noah Price, as well as a proud great-grandmother to Mason, and Brooke Scantland. She will be deeply missed by her surviving siblings Ceclia Drost, Gregory Young (Christine), Phillip Young (Evelyn), Brian Young (Lise) and Marilyn Young (Tony). Mildred was predeceased in life by her husband Maurice Renaud, her parents Thomas Emmett and Beulah Young (nee Bourgeau), and her siblings Robert, Anna Savard (the late Henri), and Linda Young.
Mildred was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She had a lifelong love of learning and was an avid reader—especially devoted to Louise Penny and the beloved Gamache series. She kept a keen eye on current events, always eager to discuss the news or world politics. Her heart never strayed far from her home in the Gatineau Hills where memories of childhood and family gatherings brought her enduring joy. A gifted artist, Mildred’s exceptional talent lives on in the many beautiful paintings she created and lovingly shared with those around her. Above all, Mildred was guided by her faith. It was her strength, her comfort, and her compass. She will be forever loved, and forever missed.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Drake and everyone at Stoneridge Manor for their palliative care of our mother. Thank you, each and everyone.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Carleton Place at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Carleton Place and all are invited to join the family at the Parish Hall following the interment for reception and fellowship.
