Sloan, Nancy Ellen
March 9, 1949 – June 13, 2025
It is with very deep and heartfelt sorrow we say goodbye to our dearly loved and cherished sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend, Nancy. Predeceased by her loving parents Don and Connie Sloan and brother Mike. Survived by sisters Lynne (Gerry) Poffenroth and Laurie Bennett. Loved aunt of Kimberly, Barbara and Katie and great-aunt of Neenah, Tallulah, Evan and Isla.
Nancy touched the lives of many with her sense of humour, creativity, curiosity and outgoing nature. She had an uncanny ability to connect with just about anyone and build community wherever she found herself. Nancy was passionate about travelling the world with her friends and being on the water - lake, sea, or ocean. Nancy was especially close to lifelong friends Vivian Sloan, Nadia Osman, and Jim Bennett.
The family wishes to thank Drs. M. Lai and A. Oh of Tay River Health Centre as well as Drs. K. Kipp and A. Champagne from CPDMH for their compassionate care.
Private family inurnment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carleton Place. For those desiring, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
