Pamela Anne Carr (née Henehan)

Passed away peacefully on October 25th at the age of 50 in the Rosamond wing of the Almonte General Hospital with her husband and two sons at her side. A cancer diagnosis when her sons were very young only increased Pam’s dedication to raising them and experiencing life as a family. Crafting, baking, cake decorating, playing games, hiking, camping, boating and all things outdoors were all passions she enjoyed with them until the last few years of her life when the cancer slowly took over. Pam’s strength and resilience throughout her journey was driven by her love of family and friends, and reinforced by her faith. She was strong to the end.

She is survived by her husband and friend James, sons Caelan and Kyle, parents John and Linda, siblings, Neil, Cal, Ryan, Shelley and Amy, in-laws Ken, Lynda, Scott, and Cynthia, nieces and nephews, and many others who loved her. All of whom are better for knowing her and who will love her forever. 

Her family and friends are thankful for the compassionate care she received in the final weeks of her 20 year battle with cancer from the wonderful people of the Rosamond Wing of the Almonte General Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10 a.m. with a service to follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in Pam’s name to the Almonte General Hospital Foundation to help others experience the comfort she found there.
