Peter McDonald Obituary

Peter Alfred McDonald
December 12, 1954 – April 2, 2025

With all around emptiness from our lives after a battle with cancer, Pete will be missed by all. Known to some as Saint Peter or Dr. Pete. Leaving behind for now his forever loving wife Debbie of 47 years, his two amazing sons Rocky (Julie) and Russell (Ellie) and six wonderful grandchildren Venecia (Fiancé Cole), Carter, Holley, Isaiah, Dakota and Falen. Brother to Tess MacLean, Helen Donaldson, Mike (Gillian) McDonald, Anne-Marie Goodman, Paul (Kimberly) McDonald. Son of Madeleine McDonald and the late Alfred McDonald. Brother-in-law to Linda (Morley) James, Dean MacDonald (late Kelly), Karen (Brian) Cox. Son-in-law to the late Mary and Al Harvey. Also remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Pete’s best of friends Gordon and Valerie Bourne, Bryan and Dawna Henry. The two good old boys were more like brothers.

Family and friends may visit at the Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place  on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 1 to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation (see donation links below) would be appreciated by the family.

Gone out in a blaze instead of fading away.
Baby, I will love you forever and ever. You’ve always had my heart.
