Pete was born in London, England after his parents met during the war. They moved to Canada and he grew up on the Rattray family farm on Lake Park Road. Pete's life changed after his good friends Paul and Lorraine McDowell introduced him to the love of his life. The two quickly became inseparable. He took over the family farm after losing his father far too soon in a tragic accident. Along with farming, he opened his own business Rattray's Plumbing, and serviced the area for 25 years until he retired. He was well known for his dependable, personable service and was very well-liked by everyone he met.
He loved to have a good time, dancing and listening to music. His Big Bird always got them home after their nights out on the town (his thunderbird car). He won many bowling trophies but his biggest passion was for antique cars. He loved cruising around in his '65 Chev and socializing at the car clubs.
He will be missed dearly by many.
