Philip Berthelet
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Philip Berthelet, a beloved
husband, father, grandfather, and friend who joined his heavenly family January 15, 2026, at the
age of 71.
Philip leaves behind Tracy, his loving wife of 46 years, his children Chad (Jennifer), Chantal
(Joel Bodnar) and six grandchildren, Taylor, Matthew, Cohen, Skylar, Easton and Coleson, who
brought him endless joy and pride. Philip also leaves behind his sister Pauline Newman, sisters
in law Janet Smith, Susan (Ted Luscombe) and brother-in-law Richard Smith (Lynn) and many
nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Laurent and Rachel Berthelet
(Groleau) and brother-in-law Ken Newman.
His life was rich with meaningful relationships, memorable moments, and a deep love for family.
Though he will be greatly missed, he will be forever remembered, and his spirit will live on in the
hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will take place Saturday January 24, 2026, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church
