It’s with a heavy heart we’d like to announce the passing of Rodney “Hot Rod” Smith. Peacefully at home on the morning of July 23rd, 2024, accompanied by his daughter, girlfriend and the family dog, in his 54th year. Loved by his girlfriend Tammy and family, his daughter Tara, his step children Stephanie (Curtis), Matthew, and Spencer (Crystal), his parents Donna & Ken, his siblings Sarah & Jeff and his niece, nephews, great nieces, great nephews & grandkids. Predeceased by daughter Kayla.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You’re forever in our heart’s son. We miss you and love you always, love mom & dad.

I will miss my dad dearly. He was an honest man that lived his life to the fullest. I will continue making him proud. His memory will forever be in my heart.

You will be missed by Lola and I.  Our home is just not the same. You are no longer here with us but we still feel your love. We will honor our life together by focusing on the joy we shared. You were the light of my life, and your love still shines bright. Ours was a great love story that will continue together someday.

Rod has requested no visitation.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations can be made to the Canadian cancer society.
