IN LOVING MEMORY OF
RONALD HUNTER
September 15, 1942 – June 26, 2026
Ronald Hunter passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Fairview Manor, surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 83 years.
Ron was the beloved husband of Loretta for 58 years. Together they built a life filled with love, family, and countless memories. He was a devoted father to Elspeth and Christina, a proud father-in-law to Gavin and Chris, and a loving Poppy to Ethan, Rhys, and Ava, who brought him endless joy. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Beth (the late Glen), and his sister in law Wilda, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Tena and Harold, and his brother, Brian.
Known for his quiet strength and gentle nature, Ron showed his love through his actions. He worked hard to provide for his family and took great pride in the life they built together. He found happiness in simple moments, relaxing at the cottage, sitting on the front step at home, enjoying a round of golf, watching Sunday golf, or escaping the winter for a warm vacation.
Ron will be remembered for his kindness, calm presence, and steady support. Though a man of few words, he made those around him feel welcome, cared for, and loved. His quiet legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A private cremation has taken place.
Your love, wisdom, and kindness will live on in us always.
