Ronald "Ron" Fisher

On February 21, 2026 Ronald "Ron" Fisher passed away peacefully, at the age of 76, surrounded by his loving family in the Rosamond wing of the Almonte Hospital. 

Ron is predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Doris Fisher.  He is lovingly remembered by his wife Anne, his sister Cathy Sweeney (Rene) and his brothers Doug (Debby), Brian, Roy (Kathy), and Dan (Kathy). He will be deeply missed by his children Christine Heaven and Jason (Sylvie) Fisher. Ron was a proud Grandfather to Marya (Dominic) Kienan, Broady, Tristan, Samantha, Dillon, Jaylan and Emma-Rita, and a cherished Great-Grandfather to Acelynn, Sophia, and Bella. Mikey Young, whom he considered like a son. He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews,  as well as Anne's children Josie, Francie, Cheryl, and the late Norma, also his sisters- in -law Nancy, Susan and Lynn, and their families. 

Born in St Stephens, New Brunswick, Ron later moved with his family  to Ashton, Ontario, where he grew up, spending most of his life in the Carleton Place  area.

Ron dedicated his life to being a trucker, he loved traveling the roads. He spent his last years trucking  for Triple K Transport where he made many friends and memories. For forty years Ron spent weekend mornings breakfasting with his coffee buddies, first at the Thru-way restaurant and in later years at the Gourmet restaurant. He also loved being in the water fishing. Ron also sadly leaves behind his beloved Cat Shadow(Nuisance) his faithful nap partner.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Carleton Place Hospital, as well as the Nurses and PSW’s in the Rosamond Wing at the Almonte Hospital, for their compassionate care and support. 

As per Ron's wishes there will be no service.
