Dakers, Rose Marie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Rose Marie Dakers, on Saturday October 28, 2023, at the age of 86.

Predeceased by her husband Duncan in 2020. She leaves behind her sons Michael (Sandra), Mark and daughter Cindy (Larry Regimbald). Four beautiful granddaughters, Katie (Rene), Andrea (Mike), Megan (DJ) and Tracy (Trevor). She was the proud great-grandma to Borden, Tucker, Theo and Deegan. Dear cousin to Anita McCoy and a special aunt to Linda Gesner. Predeceased by her sisters Georgette (Leonard) St. Jean, Gabrielle (John) Lockhart and Diane (John) Hyland.

Mom lived a very active and social life. Loved dancing, enjoyed many good times camping and was an avid curler and member of the Carleton Place Curling Club for many years.

The family would like to thank everyone at Stoneridge Manor for the wonderful care given to
Mom in her last few months.

Friends may support the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, on Friday November 3, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Mom, Rose Marie, to the Carleton Place Hospital Foundation would by appreciated by the family.
