Peacefully in hospital, Ottawa, Ontario on Sunday, Aug 17, 2025 at age 95.

Loving mother of Judy Hall (Ken), Karen Walker (Ron), and Heather Larocque (Gus). Cherished grandmother of Kelsey Rice (Daniel), Jesse Larocque, Tyler Walker (Anna), and Cassey Larocque. Dear great-grandmother of Kitley, Palmer and Tanner. Predeceased by her husband Edwin Hall, by her mother and father Gertrude and Sam McClymont, and by her brother Eric McClymont.

The family would like to thank Dr. McIntyre, Nurse Jean, and the surgical team at the Ottawa General

for their kindness and caring during Ruth’s final hours.

Friends may call at Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave, Carleton Place from 1-3 for visitation followed by a service at 3:00pm on Thursday, Aug 21, 2025, with a reception following.

Ruth will be fondly remembered for cooking large holiday meals, keeping active with planning and creating her next matching outfit, a dedication to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her sense of humour, sometimes at surprising times. Above all, though, she will be remembered as a giver.
