It is with deep sadness the family of Sadie Bernice Barr (Raycroft) announce the passing of their Mom, Nana and Great Nana. Sadie passed away peacefully at Fairview Manor on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the age of 96. Sadie was the beloved wife of the late Ronald William Barr. She is survived by her children Marilyn (late Sandy Wright), William (Cathy), Dale, Debbie, Dan (Cathy) and Christena (Rick Lepage), and loving Nana to Randy (Maureen), Mike (Kelli), Trudy (Allan), Adam, Jesse (Laura), Ashley, Michelle, Melissa (Brandon), Tiffany (Jacob), Chantal (Cody), and Kyle. Loving Great Nana to Jordan (Tessa), Jeremy, Emma, Justin, Adelaide and Stella.  

Sadie was predeceased by her siblings Clarence and RG Raycroft, Kathleen Hoare and Doris Munro. Sadie was the last surviving child of David and Christena Raycroft. Sadie is now in heaven with her little man, son Brent. The family would like to thank Dr. Drake and the Staff at Fairview Manor for their compassionate care and loving support of Sadie.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1st, 2025 at Alan R. Barker Funeral Home (19 McArthur Ave, Carleton Place) with viewing from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the Chapel and Interment at the Guthrie United Cemetery in Clayton, Ontario.
