Obituary

Sandra Lee Gagnon

1952 - 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister Sandra Gagnon (August 5, 2023).   Sandra was born in the small northern Ontario town of Smooth Rock Falls where she attended Public and High school.  She was then accepted into the Canadian military Officer Training Program.  Through this program Sandra earned a Pharmacy degree from the University of Toronto and went on to serve in the military for the next four years. After leaving the military Sandra worked as a pharmacist in various Eastern Ontario communities before settling down in Smiths Falls. She found a passion for golf and spent many hours at the Lombardy Golf club with her husband Ron. She always looked forward to her annual spring golf getaway to South Carolina and in the winter months, would enjoy bowling with her friends.  Sandra enjoyed her many years working at the Smiths Falls Loblaws Independent, retiring in 2015.  After her husband passed away in 2017 Sandra moved to Carleton Place to be closer to family.

Predeceased by her husband Ron Cole, parents Edith and Elmer Gagnon, brother Paul and sister Christine.  Survived by sister Lynn McLean (Alex), brothers Gordon (Janet), James (Ginette) and Robert (Laura). Sandra will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews; Renee (Darren), Carole (Nathan), Ross, Scott (Maija), Craig, Christine (Shawn), Tsya and seven great nieces/nephews.

A private family service will take place at a later date for a celebration of life.
