LATOURELL, Stephen Boyd

Steve passed away peacefully at The Ottawa Hospital after a very brief illness on January 9, 2026, at the age of 67.

For 41 years, Steve shared a loving life with his wife, Marilyn (née Stead). He was a devoted father to Rebecca and Stephanie (Mike Cross), and the most cherished Papa to Lila, who brought him endless pride and smiles.

Steve will be missed by his brother Greg (Lynn), his brothers- in-law Murray (Nancy) and Marvin Stead, his aunts, uncle, along with his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Boyd and Phyllis Latourell and his father and mother-in-law Harold and Lilias Stead.

A longtime and dedicated employee of the Carleton Place Hospital, Steve took great pride in serving his community. Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Carleton Place Hospital Emergency Department and especially to the staff in the Civic Hospital ICU for their compassionate care and tireless efforts during this difficult time.

Friends may support the family at Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, (613) 257-3113, on Wednesday January 14, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral service Thursday in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.
