Terry Maloney, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024, at the age of 68 in Carleton Place, Ontario. Born on October 10, 1955, in Barrie, Ontario, Terry's life was marked by his quick wit, unwavering kindness, and the profound impact he had on everyone he met.
Terry leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Barb Maloney, and their two daughters, Kara Maloney (David Hanssen) and Melissa Vaillancourt. He was a proud grandfather to Jaxon Vaillancourt, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life. Terry also leaves behind his brother, Larry, and his sister, Sharon, along with adored nieces and nephews.
Throughout his life, Terry was known for his generous spirit and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His legacy of love and compassion is evident in the strong family bonds he nurtured and the countless friendships he cultivated. As we bid farewell to Terry, we celebrate the extraordinary life he led and the beautiful memories he leaves behind. His humour, warmth, and wisdom will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Terry's family takes comfort in knowing that his legacy of love will continue to inspire and guide them in the years to come.
Memorial service will be held at the Barker Funeral Home chapel, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario, on Saturday September 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
