June 8, 1960~April 5, 2024 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden, unexpected passing of Terry Smith in the early morning of Friday, April 5, 2024. Terry was an amazing person with a contagious optimistic outlook on life. He filled every room with happiness and joy, as he loved living in the present.  Predeceased by his parents, Vivian Smith and William ‘Bill’ Smith (Francine). He will be deeply missed by his sister, Cindy (John – deceased) and brother Britt (Wendy). Survived by his former wife, Margaret. Devoted loving father to Joshua Smith (Kate) and Britany Donis (Kevin), and proud grandpa to Dante Donis, who brought immense happiness to his life. He will be greatly missed by his special friend, Debra D’Alessio, extended family and the countless friends whose lives he touched through his kindness, sense of humor, and dedication to helping others.

His memory will be forever cherished in our hearts and his outlook on the love shared between family will continue to inspire us all.

To honor Terry, a celebration of life will be held at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario on Saturday April 13, 2024 with visitation from 1-3pm with a service at 3pm followed by a reception at the funeral home.
