Obituary

Velma Arrowsmith

October 14, 1948 ~ April 21, 2022

“Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality.” – Emily Dickinson

On the morning of April 21, our beautiful mom and grandma died unexpectedly, but peacefully. Along with her family in England, she will be forever missed by her daughters Melanie (Shawn) and Katy (Jason), as well as her beloved grandchildren: Kyle, Noah, Oliver, Melissa, Erica, and Jenna.

Dear Mom/Grandma, we are so thankful for every moment that we had with you, though it was cut far too short. Your love was infinite and unconditional; you helped each and every one of us become who we are today. You were a shining light in the lives of many and you will be fondly remembered in the community. We will forever consider you a good laugh, a supporter, a shoulder to cry on, and, most importantly, a best friend. May you reunite with your mom, dad, and Gaetan, and know that we all miss you dearly. We love you so very much and will always carry your love within our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held on May 17th from 2-5 pm at ‘Taste Blooms’, 5 Allan St., Carleton Place.
