Vicki Shipclark Obituary

VICKI (BEAN) SHIPCLARK
14 November 1950 - 17 July 2021

At home, surrounded by her loving family, Vicki reluctantly succumbed to her courageous fight with ovarian cancer. The void she leaves is keenly felt by her husband of 53 years, Randy; beloved sons Chris (Natasha Ormandy) and Jason; her cherished grandchildren Emily, Anthony, Annamaria and Ella; dear sister Julie Bean (Toronto); brother-in-law Mark Shipclark; aunt Lily Bean and cousin Rosalyn Chadwick.

Vicki’s world was happiest revolving around family. She encouraged and supported Chris’ and Jason’s passions for motocross and car racing, rarely missing one of their races. No birthday or holiday meal was complete without her famous “gunge,” a traditional recipe to be lovingly carried on by her grandchildren.

Wife, Mom, Nanny, YaYa and sister, Vicki was a ”quiet force” and a guiding light for her entire family.  She was a young 17 when she married Randy and between them they forged a life together. Vicki created a beautiful home, including a special “Kid’s Room” to bring her small clan together as often as possible.  A puzzle aficionado, there wasn’t a Sudoku she wouldn’t tackle.

While she may have left us, she lives forever in our hearts.

Special thanks to the oncology team at Ottawa General Hospital Cancer Centre, Champlain LHIN nurses and Bayshore Health Care PSW’s for their compassionate care and support.
